Happy Birthday Chelsea

my not so little sister is turning the big 3-0 today. i hijacked her blog to help her celebrate. head on over and wish her a happy birthday.

a little late inspiration

i don't know what has happened to the past month of my life. i knew about this talk before it happened during LDS general conference. it definitely inspired me when i heard it. after the talk, many moms i currently work with and worked with in the past shared the talk on blogs, facebook, etc. i kept meaning to post and never did. i am continually inspired by the special children and families i work with on a daily basis. God is aware of each one of us and the special challenges we face in life. i'm so thankful for all the special lessons in my life.

spring break....mostly in Vegas

I spent most of spring break in St. George and Vegas. The weather was so warm, and it was exactly the break I needed. It was a pretty low key week, and it was perfect.

We did the gender reveal cake in St. George. Want to know what Chelsea and Jeff are having? Check out the post on my other blog.

We made spring wreaths. We played at the park and out in the sun. We built block towers. Karlee went to a tea party. Like I said...perfect!

one more Easter post

chelsea had some real (not crappy cell phone) pictures from easter weekend. we got to st. george on friday evening and did the gender reveal. saturday we had our annual easter picnic with my mom's extended family, went to the new carousel in town, and headed back to vegas. the kids found their baskets on sunday morning and barely had time to look through them before church. it's spring break this week so i'm down in vegas playing with the kids for the next few days.

b. get a new phone (will someone puh lease tell me when the IPhone 5 is coming out and if I can hold out that long)

or more likely i will continue to be lazy and take pictures with my cracked lens phone and not get a new one until this one turns off and won't turn back on

my mom's extended family has an easter picnic every year. this year someone finally had kids old enough to do the egg hunt.

due to the supposed spending freeze (which i've taken a a little break from this month), i didn't think i would have a new easter dress. we stopped by wal-mart on the way out of town, and i found this new easter skirt. not kidding. my easter outfit came from wal-mart.

once we got back to vegas, chelsea pulled out her camera and i stopped with the crappy cell phone pics.

I all too often get caught up in the commercial aspects of holidays, but today on this Easter Sunday I love the opportunity to reflect on the gift of a Savior. President Monson's words ring so true. He is RISEN!

Crazy Cleanse Update

The crazy cleanse is over. Hallelujah!
Am I glad I did it? Yes
Am I ready to do it again? Um..NO!
Do I notice a difference? Yes. I feel physically better, but it was so good for me mentally. I am completely re committed to clean eating.
Do I recommend it? Absolutely. Bananas and milk day was almost a killer, but I survived.

Light it up BLUE at work

Today is World Autism Awareness Day and also our all staff meeting at work. We had a dress up in blue costume contest. I really can't pass up the chance to go a little over the top. I work with such a fun team of people. We had a great time lighting it up BLUE.

April Goals

I can't believe March is almost over. I have successfully worn a hair accessory every day this month minus Nettie's wedding day when I wore pink lipstick instead. I have so many more things I haven't worn, but I'm ready for some new goals. I still love #marchphotoaday and look forward to April.

My goals for April include wearing blue everyday in support of autism awareness month. Blue isn't my most favorite color, but looking in my closet I actually have a lot of blue. Let's hope I can do it.

April 2 is world autism awareness day. Everyone should wear blue!

Brand Snob

co worker michelle and i were talking about brands today. she has a few things she's particular about brands on...contact solution and lotion. i started thinking about ALL the things i'm a brand snob about...nail polish, hair products, makeup, water, some food items, shoes, clothes. oh sheesh...

Crazy Cleanse

My eating has been all over the place lately. When Carrie mentioned doing a cleanse his week, it didn't take much convincing. I told Celsey about it, and she got on board too. So far we've made it through 3/7 days without dying, but tomorrow is banana and milk day. It just might kill me!  Either that or the mass amounts of water I'm drinking.

Utah Weather

No one told me the temperature was going to drop 15 degrees from the time I got home from the gym to the time I left for work. Too bad I'm wearing flip flops. Looks like I better start checking the weather.
