gumdrop wreath

My friend Bonny posted this right before the holidays. I went out and immediately bought all the supplies. I LOVE the all white but it turns out you need to have Martha Stewart budget to pull it off. I finally finished my wreath last night. It's heavy as heck and I'm still not sure how I'm going to hang it.

Supplies:
toothpicks (lots)
Gumdrops (lots-can be purchased in bulk at winco)
Styrofoam wreath

How to:
Break toothpicks in half
Put toothpick in gumdrop
Push toothpicks with gumdrop in styrofoam in rows or more clamped together(mine turned out more uniform than I expected)

This was supposed to post on my craft blog but I accidently published it here so I guess it's staying. oops!

(un)prepared

I usually think of myself as a pretty prepared person. I'm the one who carries around a giganto purse just in case someone (not usually me) needs something and has a storage unit of just in case items in my trunk. This week I found out just how unprepared I actually am when the weather was can't see 5 feet in front of me/pull over on the side of the road bad. I couldn't make it home and ended up having a sleepover at the co-worker's which sent me to Target to survive the next day and get myself a little more prepared. Please bless it doesn't but if this ever happens again I'm ready. Oh ya...my new outfit for the day...$30.

Why Not???

I got to spend the past 5 days in Vegas. People kept asking the reason I was coming. My answer..."why not?" Southwest had cheap tickets, and we all know I like to get out of Utah winter whenever possible. The trips down are usually pretty uneventful. Main objectives...play with the kids (including a trip to old McDonalds as Karlee calls it) and relax.

I have a few frames that need pictures. We spent part of the time attempting to get a good picture with the kids. Getting both of these cute little tykes to smile and look at the same time is next to impossible.

We went to Eleisha's to visit her and meet baby Ethan. Isn't he so precious? I love newborns.

It's been a great few days. I spent lots of time playing with the kids and just hanging out. It was great. Mission accomplished. Can't wait to come back.

Recent Obsessions

Lately I keep finding myself saying "I'm so obsessed with that". I can't imagine how one person can be obsessed with so many things, but apparently I am. Here are a few of my current obsessions.

I've been obsessed with these Steve Madden boots for a while now. I never wanted to justify the price until now when they were on clearance and part of buy one get one half off. I love good deals especially when it's something I have wanted for a long time.

Route 44 diet coke with lemon and vanilla. I should probably stop drinking so much soda, but I'll worry about that later. It is just so good. It doesn't help that most of my office is obsessed too.

I have to look at the updated posts daily. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with this online "show". I think it might be because they are real people living real lives just like the rest of us. I'm so excited to see who he chooses and really hope it's Jane Madsen. Luckily the clips are 10 minutes or less so time wasting (usually at work) is minimal.

I've been reading about this amazing like a soda cup but for water cup on Aubry's blog. Even though I drink way too much soda, I'm pretty good about drinking lots of water too. This cup is amazing. I love it! I sometimes feel like I don't even need diet coke if I just drink water out of this cup. Thanks to TJMaxx I got 2 for best price.

Ashley had gray nails when I was in Missouri. I painted mine and didn't really know what to think. For some reason I came home and thought I HAD to have it...immediately of course. I went to Trade Secret and scored big time when I got this regularly priced $8.50 nail polish for $1.80. It's my new fav. I'm wearing it right now.

Friends (Brynn Larsen) has been trying to convince me for years that leggings are the best thing ever. I finally believe her. I LOVE leggins/jeggings/whatever...perfect for sitting on the floor with the little tykes all day. I hope they don't go out of style in two minutes.

My last obsession is a quote I read a couple weeks ago on Facebook. It is my new motto and so perfect for my life..."we must be willing to let go of the life we have planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us."

Style Stealer?!?!

I'm a little obsessed with The Mormon Bachelor (more to come later). The other day, Beana was wearing the CUTEST outfit for date #2. I HAD to have it immediately. Luckily I already had most of it...the skinny jeans, tan boots, and yellow cardigan. I needed the shirt to go under the cardigan. Check out my craft blog for details of how I got the shirt which included a little sewing. I am so happy with my new (that I already mostly had) outfit.

i don't really love this picture, but i do really love the outfit.

mmmm

Same nasty look. Incredibly better taste. Avocados are clearly for guacamole not smoothies.

Today's mix....banana, peanut butter, protein powder, spinach. Delish

eeeeewww

I like to eat healthy. Really I do, but I'm going to have to draw the line. Somehow I ended up with a bag full of avocados. Someone suggested I try banana avocado shakes. I decided to throw in a little protein and spinach. I almost threw it up right in my car. Yuck! Back to banana and peanut butter tomorrow.

Arizona

Until I can figure out how to actually write captions on these pictures on my phone here's the recap of the photos... 1. superstition mountain hike 2. with Anne at the top of the hike 3. mountain biking turned into hike with a bike 4. tennis 5. THIS is what I came back to. not happy!

After a couple years of talking about it, I FINALLY made it to Arizona. It was an AMAZING weekend filled with fun in the sun...just the way I like it. What could be better than hiking, biking, and tennis in January?!? I want to move there immediately but since I have such a great job here I'll probably have to settle for more winter getaways.
