i know. i kind of can't believe it either. i already have 2 book clubs so why in the world would i even think about joining another?!? this book club has 2 parts-one in person for locals and two online today. i am not committed to attend this book club every single time, but i do like to go when i can. this month bon's book is quiet: the power of introverts in a world that can't stop talking by susan cain.
i honestly wish i could say i read the book because i find the subject very fascinating. we read it in one of my other book clubs a few years ago. the discussion about introverts and extroverts is very interesting. it's interesting to hear what people have to say about themselveses, their relationships, and other people around them.
the book/discussion gave me a whole new perspective on introverts and extroverts. i always thought it had to do with how social someone is or isn't. the author describes it much differently. it's not so much about social interests but rather energy. do you get your energy from being around other people or from alone time? do gatherings make you feel recharged and energized or drained?
i am a 100% extrovert. i get recharged from spending time with people. i don't prefer to be alone. i stay until the end almost every single time. i want to be around people all of the time.
time with friends is my favei am a 100% extrovert. i get recharged from spending time with people. i don't prefer to be alone. i stay until the end almost every single time. i want to be around people all of the time.
the author has a quiz to help figure out if you are an introvert or extrovert. most people are one or the other but have severel preferences the other way. i am straight extrovert. it's definitely an interesting discussion. head over to the life of Bon to see her discussion of the book.
do you consider yourself to be an introvert or extrovert?
