Wear it Wednesday-Let’s talk accessories

*this post was sponsored by the watch company. All opinions are my own.

Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows I am a huge fan of accessories-all accessories. Over the years I have been back and forth on watches. Sometimes I wear them and sometimes I don’t. Ever since I started working at my current job, I’ve been a big watch wearer. My appointments are 45 minutes long, and I am usually quickly racing to get to the next one on time which means knowing the time is pretty important. I don’t want to constantly check my phone so I almost always wear a watch.

I LOVE my Apple Watch. It is one of my favorite purchases over the past several years, but sometimes I want something with a little more style. I am a pretty big fan of designer brand watches as well as more affordable options. A watch is something I feel totally comfortable buying online.
The watch company, based in Japan, offers a variety of options in all kinds of brands. You can shop from the comfort of your home and have it delivered right to your door, There are various price points so there is something for everyone.

What is the one accessory you can't live without?

blogging the bach 14.4 and 14.5

Week 4-Utah
I went to Celsey and Shawn's for dinner and to help with some stuff at their house. We started watching and realized the DVD isn't recording. We started the DVR and also started watching at the tail end of the date with Wills. He opens up about a past relationship. We miss most of the conversation, but for some reason I am a little surprised when she gives him the rose.

Becca cancels the cocktail party so we really have no clue what has happened tonight.
Roses-Wills, Garrett, Leo, Colton, Blake, John, Chris, David, Jordan, and probably one other person
Who is that cute blonde?-Nick. I am pretty sure we haven't heard a word from him all season, but he's cute. I wouldn't be sad if he went to paradise.

Week 5-Viva Las Vegas
I am watching by myself tonight for various reasons. I am also pretty distracted while watching.

Date #1-one on one with Colton. They ride camels, make out/talk in the hot tub and determine they are on the same page (side note-I'm still not convinced they are on the same page), and go to dinner and drive the strip. "I feel sure of who he is and I really do trust him".--um that makes me nervous. Colton is confident he is falling in love with Becca.

Date #2-group date with everyone except Colton and David and Jordan. Wayne Newton rides up on a horse and Becca tells the guys they are getting the real Vegas experience. I have been to Vegas A LOT, and I have never ridden a horse there. It's time to get creative and write a song for Becca. All the guys sing their songs to Becca, and these dudes probably shouldn't quit their day jobs. These poor guys, but it is also kind of cute how willing they are to embarrass themselves for Becca. Becca says she has some really good connections but also good friendships. I don't know that friendship is exactly what she's looking for. Chris is really confident in his performance and in himself. Garrett continues to prove he is the front runner. Blake says he is falling in love. He is clearly right up there with Garrett. In her interview Becca says she has been falling in love with Blake since the beginning. Blake gets the rose, and Chris is less confident now.

Date #3-two on one-I'm pretty sure we all knew this date would be for Jordan and David. At this point they both need to go, and hopefully they both do. David is excited and confident-never a good sign. Becca starts the date as if it is going to be a great day. Does anyone really think it will be a great day? Valley of Fire is beautiful and a great place for the two on one. David starts out his time talking about Jordan. DON'T DO IT! Has he never seen this show? I kind of feel like he has not. Jordan suddenly gets so serious/angry aggressive. They all come back together and it is as awkward and terrible as expected. Becca says goodbye to David and the smirk on his face is terrible. Jordan has a similar smirt when they get back in the jeep. He spends the rest of the evening talking about himself and being a model and wanting to show his portfolio. He seems more interested in himself than in Becca. He thinks everything is going great and one minute later she does not give him the rose. Jordan did not see that coming which really surprises me. I totally saw that coming. I think we all did.

Cocktail party/rose ceremony-Chris kind of acts like he is the bachelor. He seems to forget he is not the one in charge. He has mentioned going home a few times. It might just be time for that. There's a chance to go out gracefully or to totally make a fool of himself. He seems to be choosing the latter.

Roses-Colton, Blake, Garrett, Jason, Wills, Lincoln, Leo (how is he still there? has he even had one conversation with her?), Connor, Chris.

The previews make us think there will be a lot of people falling in love and more drama to come. I can't wait!

Summer Fun in Utah

Summer is without a doubt my favorite time of the year. The days are longer, and there is so much more to do. My mood automatically improves when the sun comes out. The following sponsored article talks about some of my favorite and classic summer fun activities.

Classic Utah Summer Activities for the Family
by Alek Sabin

While Utah may have the greatest snow on earth, there’s no denying that we do summers right here, as well! Between the mixture of incredible national parks that we have littered throughout the state, as well as great urban events that take place in Salt Lake City, Utah presents a balanced menu of options that both locals and tourists alike can take advantage of. Here’s a list of some of the many great summer activities that there are to do in Utah, although there’s really too many to list all in one place...

Car Shows
Utah, being an integral part of the western United States, has deep roots in classic car culture. As such, there are plenty of car shows that people can check out throughout the state at different times during the year. Whether it be the Sounds of Freedom event that honors local veterans, or Burger Stop’s monthly auto shows that evoke the 50’s aesthetic of cruising the boulevard, Utah car shows often have a high attendance from an enthusiastic crowd that loves to get together and celebrate classic car restorations. Check out some of the great car shows that are offered here.

National Parks

Utah is home to five national parks (yes, five, you read that right), and each of those parks has a unique flavor that makes it a completely different adventure to explore. You can hit up the beautiful nature hikes of Zion National Park, and then pop practically next door to Arches National Park to check out the iconic Delicate Arch. In addition, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Canyonlands are all excellent parks that make for a great camping trip, or even just a day hiking trip. Indeed, our national parks are a major reason that tourists come to our state.

Swimming and Water Games
Water parks, aquatic centers, and swimming pools are all exceptionally popular activities during a Utah summer. It doesn’t take much pondering to see why that is: it’s pretty freaking hot outside in July. Like many other states in the American West, Utah families use water-based activities to keep cool and have fun at the same time. Even if you don’t want to go somewhere to go swimming, or if you don’t have a pool, it’s pretty easy to use your house hose or sprinkler system to set up some great water games for your kids.

Concerts
Utah gets a fairly large number of big ticket concerts that come through here, often playing at either Vivint Smart Home Arena or Usana Amphitheater. In addition, there are tons of great concert venues for smaller, more personal shows throughout Salt Lake City, such as the State Room and Urban Lounge. One of the biggest concert draws in Utah, though, is the Twilight Concert Series, which takes place at Pioneer Park in Downtown SLC, and draws major indie, hip-hop, and soul musicians every week in the late summer for the small ticket price of $5.

Farmer’s Market
There’s still quite a presence of agricultural workers here in Utah, even as the amount of people in the agricultural workforce continues to drop, year after year. One way that many farmers are able to generate more income is by skipping the grocery store, taking their produce, and selling their products to consumers directly at any number of farmers markets that take place around the state. Ogden, Salt Lake City, and Provo all host pretty large farmers markets where consumers can get fresh produce at great prices.

Homegrown Amusement Parks
Who needs Disneyland when you’ve got Lagoon! Okay, maybe those are in different ballparks, but even though Lagoon may not have the large brand and budget of Disney, there’s plenty of fun activities to be a part of at Utah’s own backyard amusement park. The development team at Lagoon does a pretty great job of adding new and exciting roller coasters and carnival attractions on a yearly basis that ensure that there’s always something new going on in the park. In addition, the relatively high ticket prices are a lot more manageable when you purchase their season tickets, which pay for themselves after only a few trips to the park.

What are some fun things you are doing this summer?

Reasons to Open a Kid's Franchise

Utah is growing like crazy right now-everywhere. The housing market keeps jumping higher and higher. Construction is booming. There is so much growth everywhere I look-housing, businesses, roads, literally everything.
Utah is home to many many entrepreneurs. People are very business savvy and it's a great place to open a business. Utah is also full of kids and families. People want flexibility in schedules, and many people want to be their own boss. As great as it can be, opening your own business can be extremely challenging, While it certainly comes with a set of challenges, a franchise provides opportunity for support with new businesses. For anyone looking to open a business especially a franchise business for kids, Utah is the place. I was recently introduced to Snapology, They are not currently in Utah, but there are some great opportunities to bring it to SLC. They offer stem programs, themed programs, preschool programs, special needs programs, and so much more.

Entrepreneur published an article with the top reasons to open a franchise. Some of the reasons include already established training programs and support systems. There are so many benefits to opening a franchise. If you are considering a franchise opportunity, forbes gives some great tips to consider before getting started.

We can talk all about all the business reasons why a franchise for kids is a good idea, but really it's Utah. Anyone who knows anything about Utah, knows that people are always looking for fun new things to do with their kids. All the kid friendly places in and around SLC are always super busy. We could definitely use a few more/new places.

Are you a business owner? What are some of your top reasons you enjoy that?

blogging the bach 14.3

Monday night tradish is on pause tonight while Celsey and Shawn go out to a fancy dinner to celebrate their 7th anniversary and Megan and Rem adjust to life with a new babe. Congrats to everyone! It's an exciting time in the MNT group! The girls at home have a late softball game so I'm watching solo this week.

Before the dates start the guys are all hanging out in the house. Everyone seems pretty calm except David and Jordan. I thought I was going to like David, but he needs to let it go with Jordan. It's not a good look at all.

Group Date #1-massage date with bachelor friends including Tia and Colton because duh we have to see that play out on TV. Becca introduces the girls and guys and forgets Jason's name. Everyone always asks how they remember everyone's names, and they always say they don't. Apparently they do not. The rest is a little chaotic. Dudes massage girls. Girls paint dudes' nails. The main theme is awkwardness because of the Tia/Colton situation or lack of a situation although it is definitely a situation for Becca.
"I've totally moved into David's head. I should be paying rent to that guy"--Jordan after he gets called out for having 4000 matches on Tinder in 2017. 4000 matches? How is that even possible? David feels the need to tell Becca. Has David ever seen the show? It is never good to waste your time talking about someone else. David needs to stop. Becca makes a joke of it, and Jordan takes it a little too seriously. He still thinks this is a competition.
Becca talks to Colton and feels better enough about everything to give him the rose. I hope this is the last we hear of the Colton/Tia sitch.

Date #2-one on one With Chris-Let's Make Your Heart Sing
Chris didn't make the best first impression on me, but he must have with Becca. We will see if this date changes my mind. As I am typing that he opens up about his dad (sad face). They write a song with Richard Marx, and I might just be changing my mind about Chris-maybe. Chris and Becca have a heart to heart about his past and he gets the rose. They dance to a private concert by Richard Marx, and that might be one of the better bachelor musical moments.

Back at the house the ambulance comes and someone leaves on a stretcher. There is talk of a lot of blood and it doesn't sound good. It is hard to tell who it is at first, and then we learn that it's David. He fell out of bed and landed on his face. What is the deal with Jordan winking saying he wouldn't hurt a fly? That creeps me out a little.

Group Date #2-Football date
Clay is loving his life, but some of the other dudes don't know what they're doing. Lincoln is all about winning again. I got distracted during the game. Clay breaks his finger or something and we have ambulance #2. Garrett has some pretty slick moves. After having the first one on one, Blake freaks a little at the group date. He has some time with Becca and calls her his girlfriend. Clay comes back, has some time and kisses with Becca, and the show cuts out. I can't figure out if they didn't air the end due to the political stuff or if my DVR stopped recording.

I kind of hate that I missed the end, but I was also kind of over watching it. Does anyone watch the Nick/Jared/Dean recaps? They are hilarious and must watch!

We haven't done our brackets for the season yet. It might be getting kind of late. We for sure need to do them. I think Blake and Garrett are my faves for now. Colton is still up there and will likely go far and then end up on paradise with Tia.

I heard from a friend that Mike (is that the name of the other guy with long hair), Ryan, and Clay (because of wrist surgery) went home. The end!

Wear it Wednesday-Rose Gold

I’m obsessed with all things rose gold lately. I wanted the rose gold birkenstocks last year, but they were always out of stock. They were and probably still are backordered this year, but I had a little more patience for waiting this year.

Rose gold goes with everything so I was really excited to get this rose gold circle pendant from the happiness boutique to style.

Blogging the Bach 14.2

who's watching:Alicia, Amanda, Celsey, and Whitney. They husbands are working on a doggy door, but if we're lucky we might get a little commentary from them.

Date #1-Group date-We are still trying to figure out who everyone is so we aren't totally sure who is on this date. We know for sure Lincoln is there because he definitely makes himself known. They have somewhat of a repeat of Becca's first date with Arie-Dress up fancy to feel special. That's where the similarities end. The rest of the day date is basically a mud run. Drama starts right off the bat. Lincoln wins the competition. The guys are upset especially Connor who throws their photo into the pool to break it. We aren't impressed with his maturity or lack of. Connor feels embarrassed-as he should.

Date #2-one one one with Blake-This is Becca's first real date since she was engaged. There's been  a lot of talk about Arie so far. They meet Chris Harrison who greets them with sledge hammers so they can smash all of the things that remind her of Arie. I'm sure it is fun to destroy all the things, but it is a little weird. They have a heart to heart about past relationships. He gets the rose and they kiss and kiss some more. I'm pretty sure he will be in the top 4.

Date #3-Group date-Dodgeball. They're still talking about Arie. Let's all hope this is the last night of this. Leo tries really hard to win for the pink team, but the green frogs kill them. All the guys get to come to the evening. So far there is much less drama on this date. Colton tells Becca he dated Tia. She gets really upset and overwhelmed. We don't think it's that big of a deal. She must have an insecurity about Tia or something. She doesn't trust him which is weird because he told her so early on.

Cocktail party/rose ceremony-Connor does the best thing possible and throws a picture of himself from the group date into the pool. Jordan says I'm going to do more with less. what??? On her podcast, Kaitlyn talked about enjoying Jordan for his comic relief-solid advice. David is not amused and picks a fight with Jordan. She still has issues with Colton.

who's left-date #1 rose, Blake, Wills, Chris R, Jason, John, Clay, Mike, Connor, Leo, David, Garrett, Nick, Ryan, Christon, Jordan, Lincoln, Colton

One little word-May/June goals

In 2018 I want to fill my life with things and people I LOVE and let things go that I do not love. I want to show more LOVE to others and accept more LOVE. I want my life to be full of LOVE.

I haven't done a great job with reporting on my goals this year which means I haven't been as accountable which means I haven't done as well. The year is far from over, and I am excited to recommit myself to my one little word-LOVE
