Missouri Wrap Up/Camera Pics

this is the last post about my trip to missouri...i promise. i also promised when i spent the money on a nice camera that i would take it places and use it. it's so much easier to just use my phone, but i did use my camera a few times on the trip.

we spent the first night in a hotel in st louis. the kids and chelsea went swimming. since my luggage was lost i had no swim suit to go with them. after a really long day of travel the kids were happy to do something fun.

when i said the weather wasn't that great, i wasn't kidding. it snowed the first 5 days we were there, but luckily it doesn't really stick too much there. living in california, the kids never ever see snow. they were excited to go out and play. it lasted less than 5 minutes before they were ready to come inside.

whenever most of us are together, we usually try to take some semi nice pictures. between all of us we have enough nice cameras to hope for at least one decent picture. it was snowing that morning, and we were all freezing. i'm pretty sure we were out there for less than 10 minutes. between cold and sick kids and cranky adults, the group pictures aren't the best, but a couple smaller groups aren't too bad.

i did actually take my nice camera to feed the ducks, but since the ducks didn't want to eat there aren't very many pictures. also, even though it didn't snow that day it was a lot colder at the park than we thought.

by the end of the week, we needed a little more fun. the parents had church meetings on Saturday while the rest of us went bowling. i am the worst bowler ever...ever. the kids had fun and that's really all that matters.

my mom had been saving some bread to go feed the ducks. we did this last time we were there, and it was really fun. the weather wasn't really the best, and for some reason the ducks just didn't want to eat. we only stayed for a few minutes before leaving to see zach's new place.

nature center and soccer game

last time we came to missouri my mom had all kinds of fun things planned...every single day. the weather this time hasn't been as good so we haven't been able to get out of the house and do as many things.

we went to the nature center one afternoon. i had pretty low expectations, but it was actually kind of fun.

karson loved looking at the fish tank and wanted to show everyone what he saw. it was pretty cute.

jordan and zach play intramural soccer. we went and watched a game. they might have been a little embarassed, but it was like old times watching them play. 

karson spent the whole time asking to "go out there" so the kids went out for a few minutes after the game.

even though the weather hasn't been too great the whole time we've been here, we've still found a few fun things to do.

baby gift part 2

after i finished the framed let them be little print, i had a ton of extra fabric. i decided to cover a canvas to go in the baby nursery. this is definitely a super simple craft. staple gun the fabric to the back of a canvas and voila you have something to tie in the frame from the print.

february is over which means my goal of doing my hair differently every single day is over. it really wasn't all that bad, and i could honestly probably keep going. i'm not going to though. i have several more things i want to try so i might keep a goal of trying something new once a week. we'll see how that goes. some of the styles worked out really well, and some didn't work out at all. interestingly the days i really didn't like were the days i got the most compliments. thanks everybody. i feel so flattered.

now onto march...my goal for this month is to get all of my facebook pay it forward craft projects completed and sent.
