it's the first wednesday of the month so it's time for another round of
we've all seen the posts going around blogland and social media about being honest and keeping things real. bloggers often get accused of posting only the parts of our lives we want to show off. we know we all have those less than bloggable moments in life. as readers, we all love reading those posts, but as writers we sometimes avoid spilling the dirt. in the spirit of keeping things real, we bring you 5 little confessions. did you go 5 days without washing your hair? did your clean laundry sit on your floor until it was time to wash again? did you spend all weekend keeping up with the kardashians? did you eat cake for breakfast? dig up a few of your secrets and link up below.
i'm not too big on rules, but we would love for you to follow the hosts if you want. other than that, write a post, linkup, and hop around.

as much as i love reading blogs, i am sooooo behind. the amount of unread posts in bloglovin' is probably at the max. do they have a max?
the main reason i had to give up my 12:00 bedtime is because that's usually when i write my posts.
i bought a package of 3 blog consults from one of my fave bloggers in january. i've only had 1 session, and i basically haven't had a chance to follow up on any of the things she recommended. i need more time in my life.
i also signed up to start selling ads through passionfruit in january, and i still haven't figured out what the options are. any suggestions? what do you look for when you sponsor a blog?
i wish i didn't care about the numbers, but i really do. i hate seeing my stats go down.
i can't wait to see what you all have to confess. link up below. i'll be back next month with my running confessions.
I need to get on the advertising bandwagon, I just haven't yet! I hear you on not enough hours in the day, I sah now and I can't believe that I still don't have enough hours in my day... in fact, I sort of feel like I have less. ;) lol. I need to do a themed 5 conf next time!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to pretty much all of these ;) I have all of these blog ideas running around in my head and I keep telling myself that I need to take a blog break and work on all of them in the time that I would usually create content.
ReplyDeleteI think EVERYONE cares about numbers. It's only natural. I am amazed that you manage to post as much as you do with your busy busy schedule. You seriously impress me. And that is one of the main reasons I haven't switched to passionfruit- I know it will be easier long term but I just can't invest the initial time needed to figure out the beast. Love you Aubrey!
ReplyDeleteYou should talk to passionfruit and see if they can extend what you paid for since you haven't been using it. They are pretty good with customer service! :) Also, I look for people who will give me shout outs!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I hate seeing my stats go down too! Which they pretty much have since my blogging has been so non existent! I'm trying to remedy that, but time will tell!

If you find more hours in the day, I will split them with you! Ha! And my bloglovin was completely empty January 1 and now....its in the hundreds. I cannot keep up the way I want to. Hoping to find a better rhythm with that again!
ReplyDeleteOh man, blogging. I'm so behind on every aspect. But I finished my last blanket for Oilo and I figured out why Axel is throwing up (an ear infection, say what?) so maybe I'll get back on the blogging horse soon!!
