churchy..forever families

one of the most meaningful of all of my beliefs is that families can be together forever-not just this life but forever. in the past couple of weeks, people around me have experienced the devastation of a stillborn baby, i cannot imagine the tragedy and horror of coming home from the hospital without a baby. i have thought a lot about this over the years as i have seen this happen to people around me and again the past couple of weeks. i have watched as families come together and mourn the loss. i have also seen the moments of peace and hope that come from a belief in eternal families.
i came across this quote on an instagram post that i have seen before. it provides a sense of peace and comfort for me.

 "in my leisure moments I have meditated upon the subject, and asked the question, why it is that infants, innocent children, are taken away from us, especially those that seem to be the most intelligent and interesting. there are certainly many things in this life that i don't understand. sometimes i don't understand why bad things happen to good people, but i know there is a plan in all of it. i know that through this loss, these families will be reunited someday. wendy is also writing about churchy things today.
