unblogged bloggable...the awful waffle

a few weeks ago meredith, who i legit met on twitter, came to town. she started talking on twitter a few months ago about planning a trip to utah sans kids and husband. i had to get in on the fun. i had to meet her in real life. i'm pretty sure people think bloggers are crazy. i met half of the people in this group online.

we all met up at the awful waffle for a few hours of chit chat and lots of fun. i'm so glad meredith came to town. it was so fun to actually meet her in real life instead of just talking to her online all the time, which is also fun. we seriously could have talked for hours and hours. please come back soon!

it's monday so i can't leave this post without a little random rambling. i've talked before (although only briefly) about not doing online dating. i'll probably talk more about it some other time. i don't think it's bad or wrong or taboo or anything like that. i just don't do it. what's a little weird to me is blog friends (either from the blog, twitter, instagram, etc) can't be much different from online dating right?!? i met meredith when someone tweeted a link to a blog post she wrote. i really loved the post a lot so i tweeted the link too. after that we started tweeting random things here and there, and the next thing you know we are friends, not just internet friends but friends who want to get together when one comes to town. i can't really explain it, and maybe you really do think i'm crazy and weird, but i have several really good friends that i have never and maybe will never meet in real life. so...if i can meet all sorts of blog friends and think it's totally natural and fine and normal, what's the deal with online dating???
