celsey and i have been dying to try the beehive cake again. this time we did a layered cake rather than using the beehive pan. 6 cakes, 4 batches of frosting, and plenty of fun later...
WHAT WILL BABY CARDON BEE?
the finished cake
the cake looks tiny in this picture, but it was actually pretty huge
nettie put together a poll of family members. even though michelle and andrew didn't even consider a girl. a lot of people in the family thought girl.
andrew and michelle and the baby girl cake
drew, andrew, and michelle. their other little boy was missing/too busy playing with cousins
michelle's reaction is the best part of this whole thing. these cakes are so fun! i wish more people would wait and find out the gender with a cake.
aww her reaction is perfect! and that cake is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a CUTE idea! The cake does look small in that one picture, but I believe you that it is big... especially with 6 layers!
ReplyDeleteWhat if you have a bad reaction to the gender and it's on tape for all of posterity!?!??!!
ReplyDeleteOther than that, super cute. Maybe I'll do this next time and since I have a boy and a girl, I should be okay regardless of what it is.
Oh my goodness! So cute. Her reaction was awesome. I don't know if my impatient self would be able to wait between the doctor knowing and a party, but I love the idea.
ReplyDeleteYou are so awesome to have done this...it was so fun skyping with them and seeing their reaction. SUCH a cute cake!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That is such a cute idea for a gender reveal cake. Someday, I will be as cool as you... Hopefully.
