weekend happs

my weekend started a little bit early this week. our paid time off policy changed last year, and we had to request our days off before the end of the year. i picked friday as one of my carry over days off. i am lucky to have a job that gives me plenty of time off and a lot of flexibility.

friday kind of felt like saturday, and i loved it. i met melanie for lunch and shopping. i say this all.the.time, but spending time with friends and family is one of my favorite things ever. we had the best time visiting over lunch and shopping. our time together went by so fast.

friday night we finally celebrated michelle's birthday. it was a few weeks ago, but we had the hardest time coordinating our schedules. we went to cheesecake factory at city creek for dinner. we walked around the mall for a while after dinner which was so nice after all the food. after dinner we went to leatherbys for ice cream. i've been doing no treats until easter so i just had water.

saturday started bright and early with my favorite run. we ran to liberty park-my very favorite. i've had a lot a hard time running the last few years. it was so nice to have a good day. i ran really strong, and it made me so happy.

after running i did a bunch of errands. on friday, my brakes in my car started sounding awful. $300 later and i have new brakes. tifany and sage picked me up so i didn't have to wait forever for my car.

tiffany and i went up to laurann's to watch the general women's broadcast. we had a nice casual night in.

i celebrated easter with tiffany and sage. i went to church, and then had easter dinner at their house. we made enough food to feed an army.

i had a great weekend. i'm sad it's over. how was your weekend? any exciting happs?

  1. You are so incredibly lucky to have such a great group of girlfriends! I've never really had that and I bet it's a lot of fun! Your Easter dinner looks yummy. I hope you have a great week!

  3. At Christmas, I am always struck by how the spirit of togetherness lies also at the heart of the Christmas story. A young mother and a dutiful father with their baby were joined by poor shepherds and visitors from afar. They came with their gifts to worship the Christ child.
