one of my favorite things about summer is salads for dinner-basically every night. earlier this month i posted about adding strawberries to salad. i love all berries in salad, but i can't always find a good dressing use so i usually make my own.
start with orange vinegar from trader joes as a base. add equal parts olive oil.
squeeze juice from 1 lime
sprinkle garlic powder and minced onions
ingredients are mostly to taste. there's really no right or wrong amounts to use. it's so fresh and light for summer salad.
I'm not a huge salad dressing fan. I usually eat my salads dry but this makes me think I could play around with different mixes to find one that works for me! Thanks for the suggestion.
I have never heard of orange vinegar before but I love other kinds of vinegar so this is going on my list for my next trader joes shopping trip! I never think to make my own dressing but this sounds great and easy!

ReplyDeleteLooks interesting, I usually use natural dressings from the ingredience like banana peppers. But this does look good, Thank you for sharing!!
